Highway adventures

this is the sheep elaine gave me :) and it took a ride in jenn's baggage from UK :P haha.. his name is EWAN :) And this poor little sheep was made to " eat grass" yesterday when my two cousins came from singapore..
this is one of them, who just turned two today.. hrmph.. talks a lot i tell you.. she's showing me her dirty hands now as a result of playing with chalk and other things (like making EWAN "eat" grass.. ).. she loves to wash her hands and get herself wet in the process!

this is the older sister, who has lost one of her front tooth, and is in the process of losing the other one, probably by christmas :P haih.. at least my parents were happy there was the sound of laughter and children in the house again, especially my dad who kept feeding the 2 year old with JELLY BEANS and other stuff.. dad occasionally gets the IWGCS ( I Want Grand Children Syndrome) in the past, but it's been happening QUITE frequently lately.. hrmph..

other than that,i had an eventful sunday.. Dad's car broke down, ironically, just as he was about to pass the "touch&go" toll gate on the way to Mount Kiara, KL, with all of us inside.. We had to get out of the car, and push it to the emergency lane ( didn't know it existed, till dad's car broke down..). It was quite an adventure. The car refused to start, and it died off half way after spluttering, gasping, wheezing and then silence..

Amazingly, when i tried to start the car, it came back to life and dad was on the phone with AAM.. as soon as we were all piled up in the car, it died again.. after a while, and discussions on getting a tow truck from AAM, i tried to start the car again, and it started AGAIN.. This time, it started long enough for us to turn ( we didn't need to pay toll by the way cause the guy let us off..) to mount kiara.. and dad was going to turn home, when we said we might as well go for lunch ( we were actually intending to go to a Korean restaurant in Sri Hartamas), so he agreed..

As we were going downhill on the highway, the engine died AGAIN. But we had enough kinetic energy to roll right into a parking lot behind another car, in front of the Royal Selangor Mount Kiara Golf club.. talk about great timing from God! :) so, we got out again, decided to call two cabs- one to take my relatives to the korean restaurant which was 5 mins away, and another to take me, dad, mum and bro back home to get two cars to go meet the rest at the Korean Restaurant..

Mum did feel unwell after the taxi ride- she's not use to it.. Rest of the day turned out uneventful.. called AAM as me, dad and bro left house to wait for the tow truck to arrive to tow dad's car back to our house, since it's a sunday, and the mechanic was not open.. that was at 4p.m.. tow truck arrived at 7p.m. mean time, the three of us had been able to make ourselves comfortable- bro napped in the car, while dad and i checked out the nice cars that drove by.. i now know more about the types of cars and i think we saw a lot of Rexton's there.. and some nice sports cars too.. Golf Club mah..

towards 7p.m, there was live entertainment from the clubhouse where those singers would be singing, like in the hotels, while people dined :) so, we had some songs to cheer us up a bit..

The AAM guy diagnosed the car with a faulty thermometer. Apparently, that was the reason there was no sign whatsoever of the engine heating up. And dad's car, being Japanese and all, had a built in electronic defense mechanism in the engine, which caused the engine to shut down when it was on the verge of overheating.. The pressure built up inside the engine had caused one of the water valves to be displaced, which was the reason why when the AAM guy poured water inside the water tank, it leaked out onto the road. I have always been fascinated with machines and physics, so excuse the enthusiasm :)

Dinner was good. We had BBQ chicken and salad, and mashed potatoes, and I was honestly stuffed full. God is really good, and I am really blessed to be able to enjoy so many things in life.. Not looking forward to going back to Seremban, but I know I have my responsibilities to fulfill.. sigh.. this is the beginning of my struggles to choose between family and work somehow.. I have to be strong..

All in all, I will still praise God for the day :) It's been an adventure afterall, especially with my family :) God is great still..

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.
